12 Days / 11 Nights · Wildlife • Culture • Rift Valley • Northern Circuit
Every day is designed to feel like part of the story rather than a transfer between points on a map. Open each day to explore the purpose, atmosphere and character of the journey. This is a planning framework; Tomisa confirms the final route, accommodation and timing around your travel dates.
Begin with a gentle introduction to northern Tanzania and an afternoon Tarangire game drive. The pace is intentionally comfortable at the start of this longer journey.
Explore Tarangire without rushing onward. Spend time around wildlife-rich areas, elephant country and the park’s distinctive baobab landscapes.
Move into the Rift Valley and explore Lake Manyara’s forest, plains, lakeshore and birdlife. The day adds habitat variety before the cultural chapter.
Spend the morning with Hadzabe community guides at Lake Eyasi. Learn through walking, conversation and observation, with traditional knowledge and community consent at the centre of the experience.
Travel toward the Ngorongoro highlands, allowing the landscape to shift from dry Rift Valley scenery into cooler crater country.
Spend a full day inside the crater, giving the wildlife chapter a concentrated and memorable centrepiece.
Cross into the Serengeti ecosystem and begin exploring the plains as conditions and the confirmed route allow.
Use a full day for wildlife tracking, photography and the wide-open landscapes of the Serengeti. Your guide can adapt the route to the season and your priorities.
Trade the Serengeti plains for the volcanic landscapes of Lake Natron. This is a longer transition, but the changing scenery makes it an important part of the journey.
Explore the Natron landscape and, subject to Tomisa’s confirmed community itinerary, learn about Sonjo traditions, agriculture, daily life and local history through a community-led visit.
Use the day for a slower exploration of the Natron region, optional walks or other confirmed local experiences before continuing toward Arusha or your next destination.
Conclude the journey with a transfer into Arusha and onward airport or accommodation arrangements. The longer itinerary can also be connected to Zanzibar, Mount Meru or Kilimanjaro according to your final plan.
Designed around the northern circuit and the experiences named above.
