Day 1Arrival in Arusha → Tarangire National Park
Meet your Tomisa team and begin the journey north toward Tarangire. The opening game drive introduces the rhythm of a Tanzanian safari: broad savannah, ancient baobabs and wildlife gathering around the park’s seasonal waterways. The afternoon is deliberately unhurried, giving you time to settle into the landscape and begin reading the smaller details as well as the larger animals.

Day 2Tarangire Full-Day Safari
Spend a full day exploring Tarangire with the flexibility to follow wildlife rather than a rigid timetable. Elephant herds, giraffe, zebra and other plains species can share the landscape, while the river and woodland create changing scenes throughout the day. Your guide can shape the day around photography, wildlife tracking, birding or simply finding a quiet viewpoint for the changing light.

Day 3Tarangire → Ngorongoro Highlands
Leave Tarangire and climb gradually toward the cooler Ngorongoro highlands. The landscape changes from open savannah into cultivated slopes and highland scenery. The transfer is part of the experience, with stops and viewpoints possible as conditions and the confirmed route allow. Settle into the crater country ready for the next day’s concentrated wildlife experience.

Day 4Ngorongoro Crater
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a focused game-viewing day inside one of northern Tanzania’s defining landscapes. The crater floor brings together grassland, woodland and water, creating opportunities for varied wildlife sightings in a compact setting. After the game drive, return to the highlands and enjoy the cooler atmosphere above the crater.

Day 5Ngorongoro → Serengeti / onward plan
Continue toward Serengeti or arrange your onward journey according to the confirmed version of your trip. If Serengeti is included, the transition from crater highlands into open plains becomes the final visual chapter of this short safari. Tomisa can also reshape the final day around flights, Zanzibar connections or additional nights where available.
